| Description |
| Arpege is a restoration and reformulation of the original 1927 scent from French couturier Jeanne Lanvin and perfumer Andre Fraysse. This feminine floral was reportedly a favorite of Diana, Princess of Wales. More than sixty natural essences are housed in the classic Art Deco, ball-shaped flacon, or boule noire. A gold-colored image by artist Paul Iribe of Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter, musician Marie-Blanche, dressing for a ball is stamped on the glass. The fragrance was christened "Arpege" by Marie-Blanche for its similarity to a musical arpeggio...a tumble of notes in quick succession. The result is an elegant floral composition of jasmine, rose, and tuberose, enhanced with sensual spices and a soft wooded finish. How we love to see the classics revived. Welcome back, Arpege |
